You can hardly swing a selfie stick in a national park without photobombing someone else’s Instagram post. Are all these devices helping or hurting our experiences in the outdoors? Apps make remote places more accessible, and millennials’ posts from the most beautiful lakes, mountains, and valleys in the country keep Instagram churning with adventure inspiration. And we like to think this encourages others to get outside and see it for themselves. But are we too busy capturing the moment to actually be in the moment?
